The Barton Hotel is a Ski In / Ski Out Hotel located on the side of the slopes at Tangram Madarao Tokyu Ski Resort. It is located at the bottom of the #6 lift which is off to one side of the resort. Ride up this lift and you have access to the main Tangram area, and which connects to Madarao Mountain Resort on the far side. If coming by car then it is 3 minutes drive from the main Hotel Tangram.
The area around the hotel is quite remote, and meals can only be taken at the hotel. While there are a number of accommodation properties close by, dining out is not really an option.
The onsite restaurant is large and serves as a lunch spot for outside guests also.
There is a natural hot spring bath house on site, with indoor and outdoor baths.
All rooms have small en-suite bathrooms, and a very generous room size for the price.
The manager is also a licensed ski instructor and offers lessons to guests if requested in advance.
