Hakuba Back Country Guides

Hakuba has some of the best off piste terrain in the world with over 1,000 vertical meters of terrain above the highest lift in the valley.

While the pristine snow is a massive attraction, there are extra dangers in traveling outside of the ski area boundaries.

We highly recommend using highly trained guides if venturing into the back country. Not only do they assess the situation with years of local knowledge, but will ensure you are equipped with the right gear to make the trip as safe as possible.
