Strawberry Picking in Hakuba

May seem a strange thing to do in the middle of a ski vacation, but you can actually go strawberry picking.

Snow Farm Ichigo Hakuba opened in 2019 close to Hakuba Base Camp in Echoland.

The picking season runs from December to May. The operators close from June and replant to have a new crop ready for the next ski season.

Picking is by reservation only (calling ahead on the day is generally possible providing there are not too many other bookings).

There are 2 options for picking. Eat as you go, or take home.

With the eat as you go, you have 30 minutes to eat as much as you like.

With the take home option they allow you to eat a few strawberries, but then take a punnet home with you (filled to the brim)

Both options cost 2,000yen per person. Kids 4-6 years are half price.
