The Nozawa View Hotel Shimataya is located in the northern parts of the Nozawa Onsen township, and is only a short walk to both ski lifts and wining and dining.
The Hotel has been lovingly renovated in stages over the last few years, and offer comfort with traditional Japanese hospitality.
The lobby lounge area has comfortable sofas and a small bar area.
There are a wide range of rooms to suit most budgets, with a mix of Japanese Style and Western Style Rooms. Rooms are larger than most in the area, and have lovely warm duvets.
The View Hotel Shimataya also boasts a great bath house on the top floor, and as per the name, the views from the spa are amazing.
Well worth the price and an ideal location for those wanting a bit of traditional without sacrificing comfort.
